Labour’s missed parcel leaflet

This is a brilliant piece of Labour Party direct mail for incumbent South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard.

It uses a clever creative idea to get the voter’s attention: a missed parcel notice.

The leaflet creator and candidate successfully resisted the temptation to load the reverse side with information (that few will read).

And instead they’ve provided people with QR code to see what Coppard has delivered, which presents the campaign with a data collection opportunity .

I bet we’ll see a few copycat versions of this…

Credit to Kevin Kennedy Ryan II for the work.

Given direct mail is often the biggest campaign investment for parties, having a quality piece of creative can make a huge difference.
