Nikki Haley has been performing well in recent Republican Party Presidential Primary polling, which has led to both Trump and DeSantis stepping up their attacks on her.

As Democrat strategist and commentator Dan Pfeiffer explained in a recent newsletter:
“Haley gained ground in recent months by consolidating support among the minority of the party that opposes Trump. Her gains have not come at the expense of Trump or even DeSantis. Haley has benefited from the exits of Pence and Tim Scott, and Chris Christie’s failure to catch on.”
The Message Box
As Haley has brought together all the Anti-Trump voters in the Republican Party she is now attracting the ire of both Team Trump and Ron DeSantis (who is positioning himself as MAGA without the baggage of Trump).
First up is a DeSantis attack ad which rounds up a difficult few days on the campaign trail for Haley:
And Trump has also been focusing more of his negative ads on the new Never Trump favourite:

The increase in attack ads on Haley may imply that she is becoming a genuine threat.
But despite Haley’s recent form in the polls her chances of beating Trump are non-existent. And if Trump were to somehow be barred from the contest, there’s also a low likelihood of her beating DeSantis.

When you take into account the first or second choices Republican voters, DeSantis has a commanding lead over Haley.
