Labour are running new ads to try and define Liz Truss in the minds of the public during her crucial first few weeks in office.
The angle they’re taking is to position Truss as ignorant about the lives of normal people and therefore unsympathetic to their needs.


Polling on Truss’s personal attributes shows that a significant majority of the public believe her to be out of touch.
But not quite a majority believe her, as of yet, to be dislikable or uncaring.

Labour will be aiming to link the existing perception of being out of touch with the other more toxic perceptions.
