Replica hotel door hangers saying “Do Not Disturb… Peace in Northern Ireland” have been left on the door handles of hotel rooms of MPs and delegates visiting Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham by the cross-party organisation European Movement UK.
Founded by Sir Winston Churchill in the aftermath of WWII, the European Movement is working to rebuild relationships with Europe and restore the country’s leadership role on the world’s stage.
With a series of door hangers mimicking hotel ‘Do Not Disturb’ signs – hung at Hyatt, Jury’s Inn, Travelodge, Hilton and Hampton hotels – the organisation is calling on the Conservatives to end the threat of Northern Ireland being ‘catapulted back in time.’
